Camp Nawakwa’s Counselor-in-Training program is a volunteer opportunity that provides leadership training for youth ages 16 and older who have already learned the basics of good camping and are interested in camp counseling. This course gives youth an opportunity to learn the appropriate camping skills needed to become a qualified applicant for a camp-counseling job. Divided into individual focus areas, the CIT program teaches the philosophy of camping and fosters the knowledge, experience and self-confidence youth need to be counselors-in-training.
